Melissa- is the salon Manager. She is Diploma qualified and has been in the industry for over 10 years. She has owned and operated her own salon in Pakenham in the past (Polished Perfections) which is no longer around. Mel left the industry for a few years to have a family but has kept her skills up while away. She is highly skilled in Corrective Skin Treatments, Lash Extentions and Acrylic nails and can perform all services required. Mel is also qualified in IPL Laser Hair Reduction, Capillary Treatment, Pigementation Treatment and Skin Rejuvination.

Roisin - Senior Therapist. Roisin is new to our team, joining us in October 2011. Roisin is Diploma qualified and has completed studies in Dermal Therapies. She is also IPL Laser qualified and specialises in Paramedical Skin Treatments including Laser rejuvination, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels and corrective skin care. Roisin has been a therapist for 10 years and has worked in many successful salon, day spa's and cosmetic clinics. She had a short rest from beauty to have her family but is keen to get back into the salon. Roisin cannot wait to pamper you and to help your skin looking the best it can.

This is a semi-permanent method of curling your eyelashes. Curled eyelashes will enhance the appearance of the eyes and will normally last between 4-5 weeks. This is a method of enhancing your eyelashes and your face giving an open eyed look. All therapists offering this treatment have attended full training and are fully qualified. What happens during the treatment: Using a small roller and water soluble glue, the lashes are rolled and separated to help ensure a beautiful natural appearance. Perming lotion is then applied to the lashes and left for 15 minutes followed by the application of a neutraliser. This is then left for a further 10 minutes under cover. Finally, damp cotton wool is used to gently remove the roller, leaving you with enhanced curled eyelashes. For improved effect, tint may be applied the day afterwards.

Eyelashes are made thicker and longer through professional application of several individual synthetic eyelashes. Each eyelash is directly attached to the natural eyelash with a specially formulated medical grade bonding agent. Eyelash extensions are made to appear identical to real lashes. The base is flat and the tip is fine and polished - just like real lashes! When application process is completed by a qualified consultant, lashes may last up to 60+ days depending on the natural growth cycle of your lashes. Most clients need a "fill" or touch up with in 2-3 weeks after initial application. Eyelash extensions are: · Waterproof · sweat proof · you can shower and bathe · sleep as normal · And cry! Only 100% oil free cosmetics, lotions, and other items should be used on the eye area after application. The eyelash extension procedure is very relaxing and comfortable. A full set takes about 60-75 minutes to complete.

Micro-Dermabrasion Treatment

Micro dermabrasion is a very precise technique that abrases skin flaws such as light wrinkles, scarring from acne, pigmentation and sun damage. It helps eliminate blocked pores and blackheads and leaves the skin feeling and looking fresh and soft. Micro dermabrasion smoothes and refines the skin. It uses a vacuum sealed system and very fine sterile crystals to "sandblast" / "resurface" or abrase the skin as the handpiece rotates over the area to be treated. The machine continually discards and replaces the crystals, while the suction motion exfoliates the skin. It also uses a diamond head tip to "polish" / "rejuvinate" the skin. Combining these two techniques helps to treat a large range of skin conditions. Apart from the face, other regions are effectively treated by micro dermabrasion; the neck and the décolletage. Full face treatment usually takes about 15-30 minutes with 10-15 minutes actual working time with the machine, every clients differs due to treatment concerns. The first treatment refreshes the skin, taking a certain amount of dead layers off the skin, leaving you looking refreshed. After 2 to 3 sessions the changes in the skin are quite noticeable. The amount of micro dermabrasion treatments required will be determined by the condition of your skin. Clients can wear make-up straight after the treatment, but it is better to keep the skin clear. (Each client needs to be assessed to determine if this treatment is suitable)
